Hide and Seek

[ Written for Rei's little brother, this is a short cheezy story intended for kids only. The characters are from a series of 'books' she discontinued to write.]

Tersha, Lissy, and Dash were sisters. They were Collie Dog puppies, and they loved to play games. One day, Lissy had an idea.

"Let's play hide and seek!" she said.

"Good idea!" said Tersha.

"I'll be it," said Dash. She turned around and covered her eyes. "One…two…three…" she counted. While she was counting, Tersha and Lissy ran and hid.

"Four…five…six…"

Tersha ran and hid underneath her bed. Lissy hid underneath a table.

"Seven…eight…nine…" Dash turned around. "TEN! Ready or not, here I come!"

Dash looked around. She saw nobody. She looked behind the couch. Nothing. She ran to the kitchen. She looked under the table and found Lissy.

"You found me!" Lissy said.

"Now I have to find Tersha," said Dash. She looked behind a desk. There was nothing there but a roach. She and Lissy ran to the bathroom. Dash looked under the sink. Lissy looked in the toilet. Dash looked into the sink. Lissy looked in the bath tub. Tersha was nowhere to be found.

"Maybe she's in the refrigerator," said Lissy. The two pups looked in the refrigerator. There was nothing but food.

"I give up," said Dash. The pups walked to their bedroom and heard snoring.

"What is that?" asked Dash.

"I don't know, it sounds like someone sleeping," said Lissy.

"What if it's a monster?" asked Dash. The two scared pups ran downstairs. Firrsha, their mother, was busy cleaning.

"Mom!" said Dash, "There's a monster under our bed!"

"It's going to eat us!" said Lissy. The three all ran to the bedroom. Firrsha reached under the bed. She pulled out the sleeping Tersha. Dash and Lissy began to laugh.

"I guess she got bored while we were looking for her," said Dash.
